Project: I Still Believe

I STILL BELIEVE is the true love story of Jeremy and Melissa Camp, who met at college in the late 1990’s. Jeremy was an aspiring singer/songwriter, having been taught by his father to play guitar as a young boy, and Melissa was a natural with kids so she thought she would likely be a teacher. It was love at first sight for Jeremy, but for Melissa…not as much. But eventually, after much charming persistence on Jeremy’s part, it became clear to both of them they were meant to be together. They dreamed dreams and talked about the future, having no idea that ahead were obstacles and challenges that would shake them to their core, forcing them to figure out, each for themselves, what it meant to be a person of faith, to accept the will of God, no matter what that involved. Their love story was not an easy one, but through the joy, laughter (lots of laughter), sorrow and tears, their story inspired many, and continues to have an impact far beyond what either of them could have ever imagined.

Project: The Scarlet Thread

In April 2017, Revelation Ministries produced “The Scarlet Thread” in a full-scale three-hour musical with multiple performances at the Hollywood Performing Arts Center in south Florida with a powerful mix of high-end production values, music, choreography and special effects. This year the play will be produced in 90 minutes, but still needing a cast of 40 male and female actors, dancers, and soloists of all ages. All actors will perform in Biblical period costumes, and must be able to stand, kneel and move easily on stage.

“The Scarlet Thread” unfolds the true story of how God saves people through his son, Jesus, and his ultimate victory at the cross. Born in a stable, Jesus works to fulfill His call to preach good tidings to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, and give sight to the blind. Tasked with maintaining the purity of the Law of Moses, two Sanhedrin set out to confront a prophet preaching repentance without authority from the supreme counsel of the Jews and discover Jesus.  His ministry, death and resurrection not only fulfill the call on His life but forever confirms His status as “The Scarlet Thread.”

Project: Looking Through The Stained Glass Window

Evie Rhodes was born in Newark, New Jersey. She authored the book, “EXPIRED” which was critically acclaimed to be “One of a Kind!” Black Issues Book Review called Rhodes a Master writer, gifted and skillful. Romantic Times Book Reviews said of her work it holds the reader’s attention as if the pages are magnetized. Evie is now making her first foray into the theatrical world of Off Broadway Theater with her searing Stage Play, “Looking Through the Stained Glass Window” a witty and illuminating coming of age story about Crystal Waterman a forgotten, Black, female voice in 1992 during the AIDS epidemic. The explosive portrayal explores the cyclical effects of trauma and addiction through reflection and humor in the middle of Harlem’s Hip Hop era. Evie Rhodes is a Social Activist at heart, and her many works speak to her love of humanity. Cumberland County Library in New Jersey noted her in honor of Black History Month to be among the most respected and acclaimed voices in contemporary African American history.

Created and Written by: Evie Rhodes

"Looking Through The Stained Glass Window" is a captivating, compelling staged story, told in the slice of life voice of Crystal Waterman, who at thirty-four years of age, is suffering from the monstrous impact of AIDS related symptoms and dying. Crystal’s portrayal is broken, fractured and most of all real while she clings to the only person on whom’s love she can count, her Great-Grandmother. She shares a powerful kaleidoscope of crippling emotions in a smorgasbord of sometimes witty, and other times devastating tones, as being in her final stages of life she writes letters to the daughter she gave away while seeking final absolution...
